Many women are torn between loving men who have had a wholesome upbringing and an accepting way of thinking, and those who have endured a more troubled past with a higher degree of trauma. The latter are more well-acquainted with their shadow side, having been forced to think deeply about darkness and the complexities of the human psyche for survival. Their instinctive ability to assess situations operates on a different level compared to their more wholesome counterparts.
The former chooses to see the good but can often be blinded by this lens to external threats. A pure, wholesome man will raise wholesome sons, but they, too, will inherit his lens. In contrast, a man familiar with darkness makes the woman he protects feel safe because she knows he is prepared with outlier thinking to counter most challenges life may throw at him. However, he also carries inner demons that she cannot always soothe - no matter how much she wishes to.
The truth is, balance is needed - for the wholesome to expose themselves to the jagged edges of life and for those with abyssal pasts to hush their inner demons by allowing them to exist as compliant backseat passengers. However, while this is what women desire, true mastery of duality is a crucible in itself.
