Sometimes, people enter our lives, and while we can sense their significance - intuitively recognising that they are special - the why or how long remains elusive.
Our minds, adept at crafting expectations, dealing in absolutes, and succumbing to prejudicial assumptions - often insist on defining their purpose and duration. We might believe they're here for a particular reason - perhaps to build a business alongside us or as a love that calls every cell of our being to burn with aching wonder - yet, more often than not, they open doors we could never have foreseen - doors veiled even to ourselves. What we anticipate to be fleeting transforms into an intricate soul-freeing mid-air dance - just two seabirds gliding together, skimming the surface of the ocean - in an intermittent yet enduring connection that spans a lifetime. Conversely, what we imagine to be lifelong may turn out to be a brief but marvellous collision, bursting into a thousand sparks that illuminate every possible path we once feared to explore.
What if recognising their importance is enough? What if surrendering to the unknown is precisely the act of acceptance that unlocks our greatest connections and adventures - by allowing them to just be?
