The man who has integrated his anima is most likely to attract, and be drawn to, a woman who has likewise integrated her animus. In such a union, their strengths amplify one another, while their weaknesses are softened through mutual understanding.

He will not be intimidated by her depth but will recognize her presence as a call to confront and transcend the unrefined aspects of himself (a masculine endeavor) that she reflects. The animus integrated woman, embodying feminine essence balanced with a conscious masculine pole, doesn’t compete with her man but inspires him. She challenges him not by resistance, but by radiance.

But I would add such unions are extremely rare. It requires one to be a stable paradox — capable of holding contradictions within themselves and be able to utilize them appropriately without collapsing.

That’s why the option for most people are extreme poles (for lack of a better term) — masculine with a non-integrated anima (stoic to a fault, abhorrence of vulnerability) or feminine with a non-integrated animus (overly docile, incapable of inspiration, attraction to destructive men, aggression).

That being said it would be unwise for the integrated to seek integrated qualities in the non-integrated (most of the population is here). So one calibrates accordingly.

-embodiment of the Anima. True love is overcoming the false images of the anima and animus to see and appreciate the person naked performing underneath. But people can easily be lead astray by a tailored mirage a cunning seducer creates.

Seduction can be countered by 'killing the witch'. Unravelling all the illusions, enveloping the psyche with deduction and doubt, perceiving through all dissimulation. As you say to be loved is to be seen. Only then can a true relationship between two souls begin.
