A Beginner's Heart

Unconditional love is not the same as unconditional tolerance. Perhaps, when unconditional love flows through us as conduits, it manifests as loving without the expectation of return. Many people perceive unconditional love as giving without boundaries - however, boundaries are ultimately about embodying unconditional love for oneself. They are about honouring oneself without hesitation or apprehension.

We live in a society where few have truly experienced love without expectation of return, and as a result, many do not recognise what healthy love even looks like. Yet love is never meant to conform to what we think it ought to be. A profound lesson for many is realising that what they once believed to be love was merely the version of love they were exposed to - often not the form they truly needed.

Just as moral codes evolve over time, so too does our understanding of love. Therefore, love fearlessly - with a beginner’s mind - each and every time.
